Ethan looks so happy wrapped up in his Mungo organic cotton baby blanket which is soft and gentle against his skin.
My little boy has eczema and we have made changes to his skin care, clothing and bedding to ensure that nothing aggravates his condition. He can be dressed and wrapped only in cotton as it’s breathable so avoids overheating and smooth against the skin.
The Mungo cotton blankets are woven with a basket twill weave using Tanzanian 100% organic cotton. Organic fibres are better for your baby and the environment as they are grown without the use of toxic pesticides or fertilizers.
What we put against our skin and in our mouths is being absorbed by the body so choosing fabrics that don’t contain dyes or chemicals is better.
The blankets are available in white, natural, sea mist blue and dusky pink and are designed, woven and made in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa. On our tour of Mungo, we were given the natural blanket and as it’s the natural colour of the cotton and contains no dyes, it is gentle on Ethan’s skin.
The blanket has a true selvage which means it was woven to the exact width and is hemmed on 2 sides. It is a good size blanket at 80 x 120 cm and is machine washable and can be tumble dried.
Available online with free delivery anywhere in South Africa via courier or post. They also make cellular baby blankets, wool baby blankets and hooded baby towels. Keep up to date with all their news on Facebook and Twitter.
