I was lucky enough to win a Hevea pacifier from the online store Queck Baby, which sells the trendiest baby products from around the world. Hevea is a Danish eco baby lifestyle brand which Jessica Alba, among other Hollywood stars, chooses to buy her two children. Jessica Alba launched her own line of eco-friendly and toxic free products, Honest.com, earlier this year so she knows her stuff when it comes to eco baby products.
Hevea pacifiers are made from 100% natural rubber which is soft and gentle on baby’s face and prevents vacuum rashes around the month. Its one-piece design means that no bacteria can hide in the joints. The ventilation holes are cut in 4 cute designs: star and moon, cars, flowers and crowns and are available in round and orthodontic teats.
Not only is the pacifier biodegradable, the packaging is too and has cute designer graphics printed in vegetable ink. If that isn’t eco-enough, Hevea encourages parents to find creative ways to reuse their packaging. I decided to get creative and made a photo frame for my fridge by cutting out and glueing the sides of the clear window to the back of the packaging. I then glued on a magnet and picked out a cute photo of Paige from when she was only 8 days old. See Hevea’s facebook page for other ideas and visit Queck Baby to buy this pacifier and other Hevea products including bath toys and teether.
