Freshpak rooibos iced teaI was treated to a hamper from Freshpak filled with tea and fresh fruits to try my hand at making various iced tea recipes for the hot summer days ahead. Last summer I used to make a simple iced tea by filling a jug full of ice, half brewed cold rooibos tea and half apple juice. It is a wonderful thirst quencher and a healthy alternative to soft drinks. Add some soda to give it a little fizz and you have a tasty non-alcoholic sundowner. Using the Freshpak recipe, I made some delicious and fruity iced tea at home.

Freshpak have created recipes for iced tea for different occasions, using ingredients usually found in your fridge which makes it an easy and affordable drink to prepare. Rooibos tea is naturally caffeine-free, contains no preservatives or colourants, is high in anti-oxidants, kilojoule free and low in sodium making it the “yoga of tea-drinking”. Freshpak offers a wide range of Rooibos, Herbal and Green teas and a special range of Rooibos teas have been created for babies and children. Freshpak Baby consists of organic Rooibos while Freshpak Junior Tea is aimed at 2 – 12 year olds and is available in four flavours: original Rooibos, Peach & Apricot, Strawberry & Vanilla and Apple.
